And They Are Off

Ceremonial starter Seaver Peters introduces the first tee time featuring grandsons Ben and Tom and his son Scott with partner Andy Hydorn. Assisting Seaver is Scott's wife, Amy.

Play began at 8 this morning under chamber-of-commerce skies. In a rarity this summer, the forecast calls for three perfect days with the rain that has plagued Hanover this year taking a walkabout. Thankfully.

The first scores could go up as soon as noon with regular updates on the hour. Full scores, a qualifying day story and brackets will be posted tonight.
