Former champions Scott Peters and Andy Hydorn were in the first group out and, as is always the case, they made it around qualifying for the Tommy Keane in a brisk 3 hours, 30 minutes. Nothing new there.
But while the Peters/Hydorn team shot a 1-under 69 by the time they walked off the 18th green they were already in second place, courtesy of Scott's sons, playing in the same group.
Ben and Tommy Peters carded a 65 to grab the early lead.
The only other scores in at noon were Dean Cashman and Chris Hynes at 68 and Chris House and Ryan Fay at 80.
The update around 1 p.m. should have a good number of scores. Until then . . .
